As I began preparing to share our March highlights, I realized that February’s update was never posted. I apologize for missing that! I hope you enjoy catching up on all the exciting things happening over the past two months—there has been a lot to celebrate.
FEBRUARY HIGHLIGHTS:
K–6 Winter Olympics Opening Ceremony: Students kicked off a month-long reading, spelling, and math competition, challenging themselves to earn their medals. The event concluded with a Closing Ceremony where students were recognized for their efforts—what a fun new tradition for Condon!
FFA Alumni Meeting
ASPIRE Program Growth: Mrs. Hams continues to build and strengthen our college and career readiness program through ASPIRE.
K–6 Valentine’s Day Parties: Each class focused on celebrating friendship and kindness.
4th/5th Grade Math Celebration: Students earned a pizza party in recognition of their hard work and growth in math.
Basketball Season: It was a busy and successful season for both grade school and high school teams. The high school boys’ team advanced to the district tournament and competed in a state playoff game.
FFA Chapter Meeting
Missoula Children’s Theater Residency: Students in grades K–12 spent the week preparing and performing Beauty Lou and the Country Beast. It was an incredible production and a highlight for our school community!
Honor Society Service: High school honor society students began volunteering monthly by helping unload deliveries for the local food pantry.
National FFA Week: A fun and engaging week filled with activities and connection. Check out the Condon FFA Facebook page for more details.
6th Grade Field Trip: Students harvested cottonwood and willow at Clarno.
3rd Grade Field Trip: Students visited Krebs Sheep Company. A big thank you to Kip and Sarah Krebs for hosting!
100th Day of School Celebration: Students celebrated by dressing as if they were 100 years old—always a favorite tradition.
MARCH HIGHLIGHTS:
Spring sports season officially began
TSA Field Trip: Harper Sallee earned 1st place—congratulations! See posts by Jessica Barnett for more details.
St. Patrick’s Day Leprechaun Houses (K–8): Students built creative “leprechaun houses” (not traps—we’ve learned that scares them away!). While we didn’t catch any this year, the leprechauns certainly left their mark with plenty of classroom mischief.
High School College Visit: Students in grades 9–12 visited Columbia Gorge Community College, exploring programs such as the Regional Skill Center (Tech & Trades), Nursing, Gorge Academy (Cosmetology and Massage), and Aviation Maintenance. It was a valuable day of career exploration.
FFA State Convention: An incredible experience for our students—be sure to check the Condon FFA Facebook page for highlights.
Spring Break: We hope everyone had a restful and refreshing break!
